
Prof. GASPOZ, MD, MSc, FACP, is a physician of international standing with a distinguished career in both academic and clinical medicine.
He trained in internal medicine at the University Hospitals of Geneva and at the New England Deaconess Hospital, Harvard Medical School. He then completed his cardiology fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, also affiliated with Harvard Medical School.
He holds dual FMH specializations in General Internal Medicine and Cardiology, and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. His academic journey also includes a Master of Science in Health Policy and Management from the Harvard School of Public Health — a rare blend of clinical excellence and systems-level insight.
For over two decades, Prof. GASPOZ played a leading role in shaping the Swiss healthcare landscape.
He served as Professor of Medicine at the University of Geneva and led several key departments at the University Hospitals of Geneva, including the Division of Primary Care Medicine, the Department of Community Medicine, Primary Care, and Emergency Medicine, and the University Department of Health and Community Medicine.
His influence extended beyond the hospital, as Co-President of the Swiss Society of General Internal Medicine and recipient of an honorary doctorate from the University Jean Monnet in France.
Professor Emeritus at the University of Geneva, he joined the Hirslanden Clinique des Grangettes in 2018 and Lumen in 2020, bringing with him a unique synthesis of academic insight, public health vision, and truly patient-centered care.
